Thank You Bird
Monday, January 5, 2009
I really wanted to send out Thank You cards to everyone that gave our family gifts this holiday season. So, this is the first one that I came up with. I made 6 of them. I have to make about 5 more Thank You cards, but I want to do something different for those.
For this card I used Home Accents for the bird. The scallop and its center are cut in Design Studio and are designed by Okie Ladybug from the Cricut Message Board. The scallop oval is in a deep aqua and the smooth oval is in a lighter aqua, but it is hard to see in the picture. There is also a frame of the lighter aqua paper behind the patterned paper. I also used a corner punch on the corners of the patterned paper. I used some clear skittles and colored them with a Sharpie on the smooth oval. I used Chesnut Roan Cat's Eye chalk around the edges of the light aqua paper. The "Thank You" is done with a rubber stamp. Other things I used: aqua/brown polka dot ribbon, glitter pen brown pen.
