So my oldest baby starts Junior High this September and I am bawling my eyes out! The upper photo is a little smaller because I have his full name die cut at the bottom with the Cricut (of course!) and decided it would be best to leave that info out. He was born at just over 5 pounds. My dh could hold him in one hand in his palm. Now he is almost as tall as me! Where have the last 11 years gone..............
I have like a million photos to scrapbook and here I am making pages for what will be! I had fun making it. On the top page, I used Graphically Speaking to cut the torn paper looking cut. That cartridge is amazing. The font is Cuttin' Up. I used Design Studio to make the torn paper the size I wanted. Then I lined up the letters where I wanted them on the page and sized them. Then I left them on the page and cut them out of the torn paper cut. The stars are from the Indie Art cartridge (1 1/2"), with shadow.
For the second page I used the star frame cut from the Joys of the Season cartridge as a title box. I as used DS to size this to my liking. Then I cut the letters for the title out of DCWV metallic stack paper. "HOLMES" are each individual letters and "middle school" is welded. That title is also Cuttin' Up. All the mats were done free hand. But, I did the big mats at 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" so I could put an average size pic there. The patterned paper is DCWV Rock Star. TFL.
