September Is Childhood Cancer Awarness Month and Kristen Long over on the Cricut Message Board is trying to get us to help spread the word! So, here is just my tiny little part to try and help to do so.
**Kristen is hosting an RAK to help raise awareness for Childhood Cancer. Here is the link: http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=2887295&mpage=1 .
**There is also a fundraiser called the Milestones Walk going on to help raise funds to help fight childhood cancer. A little info: (This is directly from their website)
What is the MileStones Walk? The CureSearch Virtual Walk for 12,500 is an online effort to unite people across the country in the fight against childhood cancer. During September National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, our challenge is to bring together 12,500 individuals virtually in honor of the 12,500 children who will be diagnosed this year. All proceeds will go to CureSearch to support lifesaving research conducted by the Chilidren's Oncology Group (COG0, the world’s largest pediatric cancer research organization.Learn more about COG research priorities at www.curesearch.org/ourresearch
**You can join Kristen on her virtual walk or start your own.

**Go to build a bear and make an animal. If you make "Champ" Build a Bear will donate $1 to Children's Cancer Research and awareness organizations. Or you can make any animal and purchase a purple satin heart and they will donate the $1.00.
**These are just some of the things that Kristen has listed on the Cricut mb to enter the RAK and help to raise awareness for a great cause. She herself has a beautiful little girl that has been in remission from Childhood Cancer for the last 1 1/2 years.
**Please take a minute to learn more about this and see what you can do to help and to raise awareness for this worthy cause.

It is so good to hear someone else has that about them. My hubby thinks I am crazy and always tries to get me to get things from the top. Needless to say I win and he has started to just suck it up and grab from the middle or the back. :)

Maria,
Thank you so much for featuring information regarding National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
We would like you to visit and consider joining the People Against Childhood Cancer community. We are a network of over 900 parents, friends, family, concerned citizens and childhood cancer organizations (CureSearch, Alex's Lemonade Stand and more) whose sole mission is to present a unified voice to raise awareness of childhood cancer. The website format is unique, you can have friends, post photos and videos, blog, participate in Forum discussions, start or join Groups that interest you, chat live with other members, and promote or learn about fundraisers. It's free, interactive and will continue to evolve.
While these features are nice, our focus is action to raise awareness of childhood cancer. One initiative is the Petition to Raise Awareness of Childhood Cancer . It has over 16,000 signatures and will be used to hopefully leverage a network TV special solely on childhood cancer or a similar high profile project. Other ideas and action items are presented daily in our ongoing effort to raise awareness.
Please visit and join us at http://curechildhoodcancer.ning.com;.
Thanks again and have a great day!
