I made this card for one of my nephews for Halloween this year. I am going to make one for each of my 3 nephews and 1 niece and mail it out to them this year. The spider is cut on Paper Dolls at 16". I know that 16" sounds huge, but that is what I cut is at and it is not that big. When I measure the width from one leg to the other it is 7 3/4". I think that because it is one of the accessories on the PD cart, that it is adjusted in size to fit with the dolls. I probably should have just hit the "real dial size" key, but that idea is just coming to me now..........oh well, next time. I cut 2 spiders. I used a double sided paper. One side had the majority black and the other side orange. The black is the front. I lined the inside of both pieces with black cardstock and then cut an orange oval to have a place to write on the inside.
On the front, I used orange stickles to highlight alot of the swirls on the spiders legs. I also used black rain dots just to enhance him a little. I used googly eyes for his eyes (of course!). And I used black stickles for his eyelashes and mouth. I used my glitter pen and white pen here and there to spruce him up. On the back I just used some orange stickles for his eyes and nose.
I used a Making Memories jumbo brad in the center of his head and wrapped some fibers around it (through the middle of the card) so it is kind of like an ornament. The stamp in the middle is a Studio G Halloween Stamp. TFL!
